‘Bridgerton’ star Simone Ashley joins cast of ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’ 

“Devil Wears Prada 2" is shaping up to be a star-studded event!

The newest name to drop? Simone Ashley, best known for her role as Kate Sharma in the “Bridgerton” series, will be joining the sequel, according to Deadline.

Meanwhile, Variety reported that “Charlie’s Angel” stars Lucy Liu and Justin Theroux were also casted in the movie. 

No further details about their role have been revealed so far. 

The sequel to the cult classic "The Devil Wears Prada” will center on Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep in the first film) as she struggles with the waning of traditional magazines. Meanwhile, Emily Charlton, played by Emily Blunt in the first film, is now a powerful executive for a luxury group.

"Devil Wears Prada" was adapted from Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel of the same name. The film also starred Anne Hathaway.

The film has started its production with Meryl and Anne reprising their previous roles from the film. It is slated for release in May 1, 2026. — Jade Veronique Yap/LA, GMA Integrated News
