South Korean actor Song Young Kyu passes away
South Korean actor Song Young Kyu, known for starring in the film "Extreme Job," has passed away.
Yonhap News Agency reported that Song was found dead inside a car on Monday in a residential building in Yongin by an acquaintance.
According to South Korean police, there were no signs of foul play nor a note discovered at the scene.
Song is survived by his wife and two children.
According to Soompi, the actor was caught drunk driving in Yongin back in June. He had reportedly driven under the influence for about five kilometers and was referred to the appropriate legal authorities.
Following the incident, he was dropped from his roles in the TV shows "The Defects" and "The Winning Try," as well as the play "Shakespeare in Love," per the report.
Song, born in 1970, is known for starring in the hit action-comedy film "Extreme Job," Netflix series "Narco-Saints," "Big Bet," and "The Recon," among others.
