Taylor Swift announces new album 'The Life of a Showgirl'

Taylor Swift is set to release her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl!”

The announcement came after a mysterious countdown was posted on her website, which ended on August 12 at 12:12 a.m. ET or 12:12 p.m. in the Philippines.

The American singer-songwriter dropped the news in her guesting on Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast “New Height Show.”

In Taylor’s website, are purchase links for “The Life of a Showgirl” vinyl, cassette, and CD with poster.

Other details on the album, including the release date, have yet to be announced.

Taylor’s most recent album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” released in 2024, featured the same marketing style with surprise announcements. It included the single “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone.

In May, Taylor was finally able to buy back the rights to her entire music catalog after being locked in a feud with record executives since 2019 over ownership of her music.

Prior to this, she had been releasing re-recorded versions, or the “Taylor’s Version,” of her past albums.
