Katseye has won their first-ever MTV Video Music Award, taking home the Moon Person trophy for Push Performance of the Year with their hit song “Touch."

In a video shared by MTV UK on Instagram, members Sophia Laforteza and Lara Raj delivered the group’s acceptance speech.

“This is all very new to us, this is our first time ever doing this,” Lara said.

“We’ve been through a lot together, so having this moment feels so rewarding and feels like everything has paid off,” she added.

Meanwhile, Sophia also expressed gratitude to Katseye’s fans, known as Eyekons.

“Thank you to our Eyekons. We are here because of you, we love you so much. Thank you for believing in us,” the Filipina singer said.

“Maraming maraming salamat,” she added for good measure.

Katseye debuted in 2023 and visited Manila in 2024 for a fan showcase. They also appeared on “It’s Showtime” and collaborated with Filipino creators, including Niana Guerrero.

In June, the group released the Latin-flavored R&B-pop track “Gabriela” with a telenovela-inspired music video starring Hollywood actress Jessica Alba.

Aside from "Gabriela," Katseye is known for their songs “Gnarly,” "Touch" and "Debut."
