Katseye just met Ariana Grande at the MTV Video Music Awards 2025!

On Instagram, MTV shared a photo of Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae posing together with Ariana during the event held on Monday (Philippine time) in New York.

In a separate Instagram Stories post, Sophia’s dad, Filipino chef Godfrey Laforteza, shared the adorable moment of his daughter and wrote: “My daughter’s dream came true with [Ariana Grande]” in the caption. 

Katseye won their first-ever MTV Video Music Award, taking home the Moon Person trophy for Push Performance of the Year with their hit song “Touch." During their acceptance speech, Sophia repped the Philippines hard, saying "maraming, maraming, maraming salamat."

Meanwhile, Ariana took home the Video of the Year award for “Brighter Days Ahead,” as well as the Best Pop Artist award. 

Katseye debuted in 2023 and visited Manila in 2024 for a fan showcase, where they also appeared on “It’s Showtime” and collaborated with Filipino creators, including Niana Guerrero.

In June, the group released the Latin-flavored R&B-pop track “Gabriela” with a telenovela-inspired music video starring Hollywood actress Jessica Alba.

Aside from "Gabriela," Katseye is known for their songs “Gnarly,” "Touch" and "Debut."
