Nicole Kidman files for divorce from Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage

Nicole Kidman has filed for divorce from her husband Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage.

According to Nashville, Tennessee court records procured by media outlets like The New York Times and People Magazine, Nicole cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce.

Rumors of their split began circulating on Monday, first reported by gossip outlet TMZ.

A source told People that Nicole "didn't want this," and that she had been "fighting to save the marriage."

"Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another," the source added.

Another source said the actress and the musician have "been living separately for a while now” and that the separation “really hasn’t been a secret.”

“People close to Keith felt like the split was kind of inevitable,” the source added.

Nicole and Keith met in 2005 at a gala in Los Angeles, and got married in 2006. They have two teen daughters together, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
