Ariana Grande pens touching post about 'Wicked' family: ‘A home away from home’

Ariana Grande is feeling sentimental as the premiere of “Wicked: For Good” draws close.

The Glinda actress posted an Instagram Reel of behind-the-scenes moments, including a clip of her tearing up after being told, “Bye, Galinda. We love you, Galinda.”

In her caption, Ariana wrote, “These films were a tremendous undertaking in every way for all of us… mentally, physically, emotionally… floating home sleepily at the end of every work day feeling like ‘husks,’ we would always say.”

Ariana added that she is thankful for the people behind the films.

“I am so inexplicably lucky to have had the support of my bubble and the people within it. Everywhere I turned, at any given moment, I was met with the warmth of a million suns, the sweetest hugs and hands to hold,” she said.

“My ‘Wicked’ family was a home away from home, sunshine when there was only rain (London), a good night's sleep when we hadn’t had any,” Ariana said.

“Our check-ins throughout the day, our hugs in passing from tent to hall to set, our hand holds during last looks were like plugging my heart into a charger (which was much needed and appreciated on this second film)… and I love you always,” she added.

Wicked: For Good” premieres in Philippine cinemas on November 19.

It stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Ariana as Glinda, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard.

Its soundtrack will feature two new songs by Cynthia and Ariana.
