NewJeans members Hyein, Haerin resume activities with ADOR

NewJeans members Hyein and Haerin are resuming activities with ADOR labels.

In a statement on Wednesday, ADOR said that 2 out of the 5 NewJeans members intended to resume their activities with the company, following a lengthy lawsuit regarding their exclusive contract.

“After careful consideration with their families and thorough discussions with ADOR, the two members have made the decision to respect the court's ruling and comply with the exclusive contract,” ADOR said in a statement posted on X.

“ADOR will do its utmost to ensure that Hyein and Haerin can continue their entertainment activities smoothly,” it added.

The agency also asked the fans' support to avoid any speculation regarding the NewJeans members.

ADOR has yet to comment on the decisions of remaining NewJeans members Hanni, Danielle, and Minji as of this time.

The K-pop group NewJeans drew worldwide buzz over the past few year after lodging, a lengthy legal battle with ADOR and its record company HYBE, regarding their seven-year contract.

In November 2024, the group announced they had terminated their contracts after ADOR did not comply with their initial request to reinstate Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.

Just this October, the Seoul court had determined that the exclusive contract will be upheld in favor of ADOR.

NewJeans had initially stated they will file an appeal to overturn the decision, noting that it was impossible to accept and return to the company.

NewJeans debuted as a five member girl group under ADOR labels in November 2022 with the surprise release of their debut single “Attention.”
