Katseye says Philippine crowd surprised them with love for their music
Katseye is missing the Philippines’ energy!
In an interview on Audacy Music, the global girl group said Filipino fans surprised them with their passion and love for their music.
Member Daniela Avanzini said, “I didn’t know they were such passionate people and they remind me of my own culture too.”
The members looked back at the show they did at Market Market in 2024.
“I think it was four, five levels in that mall, and every single level was filled up,” Daniela said. “Turned into a whole freaking stadium, which was insane.”
Daniela said that the crowd was so loud.
“It was like screeching loud,” Filipino member Sophia Laforteza added. “All the video footage, the speakers were like popping.”
Lara Raj said, “I can’t wait to go back to the Philippines” .
Katseye debuted in 2023 and visited Manila in 2024 for a fan showcase, appearances, and collabs.
The group is known for their songs “Gabriela,” “Gnarly,” “Gameboy,” "Touch," and "Debut.”
The HYBE girl group is nominated at the 2026 Grammys for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Gabriela.” —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
