Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry receives medical care after falling on Miss Universe prelims stage
Dr. Gabrielle Henry, Jamaica's representative for the Miss Universe 2025, was rushed to the hospital after her fall during the preliminary competition in Thailand on Wednesday.
In a statement on Instagram, Miss Universe Jamaica Organization said medical professionals are currently attending to her care and assured she is "not suffering from any life-threatening injuries."
"They continue to conduct tests to ensure her full recovery," the statement said. "We kindly ask everyone to stay upbeat, lift her in prayer, and send positive thoughts as she receives the necessary medical care."
"We thank everyone for their outpouring of love, support, and continued prayers."
Gabrielle fell from the main stage during the evening gown portion of the preliminary competition and had to be carried out on a stretcher.
The Miss Universe 2025 coronation event is happening on November 21 at the Impact Muong Thong Thani Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
Prior to the preliminary competition, the pageant held its National Costume show.
The Philippines' representative is Ahtisa Manalo, who wore a Mak Tumang piece inspired by Philippine festivals.
