Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo sign off as Glinda, Elphaba from 'Wicked'
Following the premiere of “Wicked: For Good” and the end of the press tour, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo signed off as their beloved characters, Glinda and Elphaba.
The actresses shared photos from their times on set in Instagram posts.
Ariana wrote, “Thank you, my sweet Glinda, for everything. I will love you always.”
Meanwhile, Cynthia said that she could write a lot “to describe what this journey has meant to me, what lessons this time has taught me, bought me.”
“The truth is the numbers are too small and the words are not enough. So I’ll simply say this,” she said. “Take my hand and walk with me to the end of this road paved with gold and hopefully, the things that I’ve found, might find you too.”
“Thank you for letting me be your Elphaba.”
"Wicked: For Good" is the sequel to the box office hit "Wicked," released last year. It concludes the story of Elphaba (Cynthia) and Glinda (Ariana).
The soundtrack features two new songs by the lead actresses.
The film also stars Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard.
