‘Reply 1988’ cast members reunite for 10th anniversary special episodes

The cast members of “Reply 1988” have reunited for the 10th anniversary special of the beloved South Korean series. 

On Instagram, TVN, which originally aired the drama in 2015, shared the poster of the upcoming special featuring its cast members.

Channel Fullmoon released a YouTube teaser showcasing its lead cast Hyeri, Park Bo Gum, Go Kyung Pyo, Ryu Jun Yeol, and Lee Dong Hwi together with their on-screen family members, including Sung Dong Il, Ra Mi Ran, Kim Sung Kyun, Choi Moo Sung, Yoo Jae Myung, Ahn Jae Hong, and Ryu Hye Young going on a two-day, one-night trip in celebration of the occasion.

The teaser also showed the beloved Ssangmundong family coming together for a group photo. Ra Mi Ran quipped, “It’s so hard to get everyone together,” bringing laughter to the set. 

According to a report by Soompi, the three-episode-long 10th anniversary special for “Reply 1988” will premiere on December 19.

“Reply 1988” follows five childhood friends Choi Taek (Bo Gum), Deok Sun (Hyeri), Jung Hwan (Jun Yeol), Dong Ryong (Dong Hwi) and Sun Woo (Kyung Pyo) and their families, exploring their friendships, first loves, and everyday lives. 

In 2020, the lead cast reunited and shared some adorable photo booth snaps.
