Even James Charles got wind of Darren Espanto's viral performance of "Maui Wowie!"

On TikTok, the American beauty influencer shared a video of him lip syncing to Darren's version of the Kid Curdi song. Darren performed "Maui Wowie" on "It's Showtime" last week.

Fans have been noticing that Darren's take on the song makes it sound like James sang it.

Hopping in the conversation, James said, "Genuinely cannot believe this isn't my voice."

Darren reposted the video on his TikTok account.

Darren's "Maui Wowie" performance has been making rounds online, with content creators attempting to copy his vocals and his moves.

Even TikTok star Mama Lulu and her family did a video referencing Darren's performance.

Darren is a host of noontime show "It's Showtime," which airs on GTV and the GMA main channel. 

To celebrate the show's anniversary, the hosts held a hilarious awards ceremony, with awards such as "Ha? Hakdog Award," "Sablay Supremacy Award," "Cry 'Yan Cayabyab Award," and more.
