South Korean actress Nana's agency responds after robber files countersuit vs. actress

South Korean actress Nana's agency claps back as robber files complaint against actress

South Korean actress Nana’s agency, Sublime, strongly condemned the armed robber involved in the recent assault incident after the suspect filed a separate complaint against the actress.

According to Soompi, numerous reports on January 2 stated that Nana had been countersued by the robber over her actions while fighting back during the incident.

In a statement, Sublime said authorities have already conducted a thorough investigation that “clearly confirmed the perpetrator’s criminal acts” in the robbery-assault involving Nana and her mother.

“During the crime, the assailant—armed with a weapon—inflicted severe harm on Nana and her family, and the resulting physical and psychological pain continues to this day,” Sublime said.

“Nevertheless, without any sign of remorse, the perpetrator has filed a separate complaint against Nana, exploiting her public profile and causing secondary harm through inhumane conduct,” it added.

Sublime stressed that protecting the rights and interests of their artists is their highest priority.

“In relation to this matter, we will pursue every possible civil and criminal legal action against the perpetrator,” the statement read. “We will continue to respond responsibly and to the very end to ensure our artist suffers no further harm.”

In November, Nana and her mother sustained injuries after they were assaulted by an armed robber in his thirties, with reports stating that Nana fought back during the incident.

Both were taken to the hospital for treatment following the attack, and authorities later arrested the suspect in connection with the case.

Nana is known for her roles in the Korean series "The Good Wife," "Kill It," and "Justice," among others. Aside from being an actress, she is also a K-pop idol and a former member of the K-pop group After School. —Carby Rose Basina/JCB, GMA Integrated News
