Enhypen's Sunghoon announced as torchbearer for 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics

Enhypen's Sunghoon announced as torchbearer for 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics

Enhypen’s Sunghoon will serve as the torchbearer for the upcoming Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.

Belift Lab, the music label behind Enhypen, shared Sunghoon’s statement on Weverse.

“More than anything, I am deeply rooting for the national athletes who have worked so hard for this Winter Olympics because I am fully aware of their passion and dedication. Competing in the Olympics has always been a dream of mine, and I am so happy and honored to have achieved that dream as a singer,” Sunghoon said.

Sunghoon follows the footsteps of his HYBE senior, Jin of BTS, who carried the torch at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Before debuting as a K-pop artist, Sunghoon was a member of the national figure skating team, and he has served as an ambassador for the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee since last year.

The 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics will open on February 6.

Meanwhile, Enhypen visited the Philippines in March 2025 for their “Walk the Line” tour.

Aside from Sunghoon, the group consists of members Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunoo, and Ni-ki. Some of their hits include "Bite Me," "No Doubt," "Drunk-Dazed," "XO (Only If You Say Yes)," and more. —Carby Rose Basina/JCB, GMA Integrated News
