Blackpink's Rosé says she keeps relationships private 'to protect the person'

Blackpink's Rose says she keeps relationships private 'to protect the person'

Rosé got real about her relationships during a guesting on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast.

The Blackpink member talked about why keeping partners private is the right approach as a celebrity.

"I think a lot of it has to do to protect the person," she said. "I've noticed that it hurts more if any of my friends are attacked."

She also said that negative comments towards her are bound to happen because she is in the public eye.

"For now, with the fanbase that I've experienced, which I would love to in the future, maybe really fully trust the media to protect me and be there for me, then I might feel comfortable. But I don't know if I've ever felt completely safe," she said.

Rosé said "one of the toxic ones" felt like she was hiding them, and that they felt very paranoid about their relationship.

Asked if she was seeing someone, Rosé said, "I am looking for love."

She also talked about the media and how what she says gets sensationalized.

"Just because I was from a K-pop group, doesn't mean I am a different type of human being," she said.

Rosé dropped her debut solo album "Rosie" in December 2024. It includes the songs "Number One Girl" and "Toxic 'Till the End."

Her smash hit "APT." featuring Bruno Mars also dropped in 2024.

Meanwhile, Blackpink brought their Deadline World Tour to the Philippine Arena in November 2025. The group will be making a comeback this February with the EP, "Deadline." —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA Integrated News
