'Scooby-Doo' live-action series casts Mckenna Grace as Daphne

Mckenna Grace is set to breathe life into Daphne in the upcoming "Scooby-Doo" live-action series at Netflix!

According to Variety, Grace will star as young Daphne in the show, which will tackle Mystery Inc.'s beginnings.

The actress voiced the character in "Scoob!" in 2020.

On Instagram, Grace expressed her excitement at joining the project.

"Oh my jeepers," she wrote. "I can’t believe life is real I could cry all over again just looking at this announcement. So thankful, SO excited."

Grace is known for starring in the films "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" (2021), "Five Nights at Freddy's 2" (2025), and the series "The Handmaid's Tale."

Netflix announced the live-action adaptation of popular cartoon "Scooby-Doo" last year.

The eight-episode show is described as a modern reimagining of the iconic animated series.

Created in 1969, "Scooby-Doo" follows the adventures of teenagers Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy, and their Great Dane, Scooby-Doo. Together, they form the crime-solving gang, Mystery Inc. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
