Lily Collins to star as Audrey Hepburn in film about the making of 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'
A movie about the making of the classic 1961 film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is in the works and Lily Collins set to portray the ever-iconic Audrey Hepburn.
On Instagram, the "Emily in Paris" star expressed her excitement about finally bringing it to life, after a long time coming.
"It's with almost 10 years of development and a lifetime of admiration and adoration for Audrey that I’m finally able to share this," Lily wrote.
According to Deadline, the upcoming film is based on the bestselling book "Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and the Dawn of the Modern Woman" by Sam Wasson, described as the first comprehensive account of the making of the beloved film.
Following the announcement, Lily reshared several of her past Instagram photos in which she channeled Audrey’s timeless style.
In a 2021 Women’s History Month post, she referred to the late actress as her “muse.”
"Breakfast at Tiffany's" follows Holly Golightly, a charming socialite, as she forms an unlikely bond with her neighbor, a struggling writer, while navigating love, ambition, and independence in New York.
