What we know about the suspect in the shooting at Rihanna's LA home

A 35-year-old woman was arrested on Monday for allegedly opening fire at pop star Rihanna's home in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.

According to BBC, the woman has been identified as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, who is currently detained with bail set at $10.2 million. She is from Orlando, Florida.

The Los Angeles Times further found that Ortiz, a licensed speech pathologist, had several prior arrests in Florida: a bankruptcy case in 2013, suspicion of careless driving in 2021, and suspicion of domestic violence and battery in 2023.

Netizens have also found that Ortiz have several posts about Rihanna, one dating to a month ago, where she claims that the singer "keeps harassing me."

"You saw Rihanna? You saw her picture? She has a very big forehead and an ugly, ugly nose," Ortiz says in a video. "That's God's judgement on her."

"I keep telling her to stop harassing me. Just stop harassing me. And she keeps doing it, she keeps harassing me."

Rihanna was said to be home when the suspect drove up to her home, armed with an AR-15-style rifle, and started shooting from her vehicle.
