Oscars 2026: Full list of winners at the 98th Academy Awards

The 98th Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars 2026, has named the best of the best in cinema – both on screen and behind it – in an exclusive awarding ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.

“One Battle After Another” emerged the biggest winner as it bagged five trophies, the most anyone took home on Monday morning (Philippine time): Best Supporting Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Achievement in Casting, Achievement in Directing, Best Film Editing, and Best Picture.

Best Picture: “One Battle After Another”

Best Actress: Jessie Buckley, “Hamnet”

This is Jessie Buckley’s first win and second nomination.

Best Actor: Michael Jordan, “Sinners”

This is Michael Jordan’s first win and nomination.

Best Supporting Actress: Amy Madigan, “Weapons”

This is Amy Madigan’s first win and second nomination.

Best Supporting Actor: Sean Penn, “One Battle After Another”

This is Sean Penn’s first Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. He is a two-time Best Actor awardee.  

Best Animated Feature: “KPop Demon Hunters

This is Maggie Kang, Chris Appelhans, and Michelle L.M. Wong’s first win and nomination.

Best Animated Short Film: “The Girl Who Cried Pearls”

This is Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski’s first win and second nomination.

Best Adapted Screenplay: “One Battle After Another,” Paul Thomas Anderson

This is Paul Thomas Anderson’s first win and fourteenth nomination.

Best Costume Design: Kate Hawley, “Frankenstein”

This is Kate Hawley’s first win and nomination.

Best Makeup and Hairstyling: Mike Hill, Jordan Samuel, and Cliona Furey, “Frankenstein”

This is Mike Hill, Jordan Samuel, and Cliona Furey’s first win and nomination.

Achievement in Directing: Paul Thomas Anderson, “One Battle After Another”

This is Paul Thomas Anderson's second win and fourteenth nomination.

Achievement in Casting: Cassandra Kulukundis, “One Battle After Another”

This marks the first Achievement in Casting award at the Oscars.

Achievement in Sound: “F1,” Gwendolyn Yates Whittle, Juan Peralta, Garreth John, Al Nelson, and Gary Rizzo

This is Gwendolyn Yates Whittle’s first win and fourth nomination, Juan Peralta’s first win and nomination, Garreth John and Al Nelson’s second win and nomination, and Gary Rizzo’s third win and eighth nomination.

Achievement in Cinematography: “Sinners,” Autumn Durald Arkapaw

This is Autumn Durald Arkapaw’s first win and nomination.

Best Live Action Short Film: A tie between “The Singers” and “Two People Exchanging Saliva”

This is Jack Piatt’s first win and nomination, and Sam Davis’ first win and second nomination for "The Singers," while the trophy marks Alexandre Singh and Natalie Musteata’s first win and nomination for "Two People Exchanging Salive."

Best Original Screenplay: “Sinners,” Ryan Coogler

This is Ryan Coogler’s first win and fifth nomination.

Best Production Design: “Frankenstein,” Tamara Deverell and Shane Vieau

This is Tamara Deverell’s first win and second nomination, and Shane Vieau’s second win and fourth nomination.

Best Visual Effects: “Avatar: Fire and Ice,” Joe Letteri, Richard Baneham, Eric Saindon, and Daniel Barrett

This is Joe Letteri’s sixth win and twelfth nomination, Richard Baneham’s third win and nomination, Eric Saindon’s second win and fourth nomination, and Daniel Barrett’s first win and fifth nomination.

Best Documentary Short Film: “All the Empty Rooms”

This is Joshua Steftel and Conall Jones’ first Oscar win and second nomination.

Best Documentary Feature Film: “Mr. Nobody Against Putin”

This is David Borenstein, Pavel Talankin, Helle Faber, and Alzbeta Karaskova’s first win and nomination.

Best Original Score: “Sinners,” Ludwig Goransson

This is Ludwig Goransson’s third win in the same category.

Best Film Editing: “One Battle After Another,” Andy Jurgensen

This is Andy Jurgensen’s first win and nomination.

Best International Feature Film: “Sentimental Value” from Norway

This is Norway’s first win and seventh nomination.

Best Original Song: “Golden” from “KPop Demon Hunters”
