Lee Young Ae turns nostalgic over 'Jewel in the Palace' billboard

Lee Young Ae couldn't help but get emotional upon encountering a “Jewel in the Palace” billboard while on a trip to the Oedolgae Rock in South Korea.

On Instagram, the K-drama actress shared photos of herself posing beside a billboard featuring her photo as Jang Geum.

“Jang Geum! It’s been so long,” she wrote in Korean. “I'm so happy to see you that I'm tearing up. I'm getting emotional.”

In the comment section, netizens also turned nostalgic, sharing how much the series meant to them.

“I will never forget you, Jang Geum. You are a part of my childhood,” an Instagram user commented.

"Jewel in the Palace" follows the story of Jang Geum, a young kitchen cook at the royal palace who eventually becomes the King's first female physician.

The drama was a huge hit in the Philippines when it first aired on TV in 2005. Faith Cuneta sang the theme song, "Pangarap Na Bituin." Shamrock's "Alipin" was also part of the official soundtrack.
