Chanty Videla gets real on status of Lapillus

Chanty Videla got real about the current status of Lapillus on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Wednesday.

The Filipino-Argentinian K-pop idol first set the record straight that the group has not disbanded yet. However, Chanty said they are not being given updates by their agency, MLD Entertainment.

"Hanggang ngayon, we're just literally stagnant and doing our own stuff lang," she said.

"So kung ano man po 'yung maging conclusion ng company at some point, we're just hoping na it's the best for everyone na lang," Chanty added.

In 2025, Chanty said that Lapillus was just on a break.

The group of Chanty, Shana, Yue, Bessie, Seowon, and Haeun debuted in 2022 with the song "Hit Ya!" That same year, Chanty signed with Sparkle.

Lapillus was among the artists who attended, won awards, and performed at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards held at the Philippine Arena last December.

Last April 2024, Chanty indefinitely postponed her activities with the group following struggles with her health.
