South Korean actor Lee Sang Bo dies at 43

South Korean actor Lee Sang Bo has passed away. He was 43.

According to the Korea Herald, Lee was found dead on Thursday after authorities responded to a report from his family.

The cause of death is currently being investigated. Lee's agency Korea Management Group said it is working to confirm further details surrounding his passing.

A career spanning nearly two decades, Lee took on supporting roles both in Korean television and film.

He debuted in 2006 through the KBS2 series “The Invisible Man” and went on to appear in various TV dramas, including “Miss Monte-Cristo” (2021), where he landed his first leading role.

In 2022, he was briefly detained over suspicions of drug use but was later released without charges after police reviewed medical records showing he had been taking prescribed medication for mental health reasons. —Jade Veronique Yap/JCB, GMA Integrated News
