Olivia Rodrigo to release single ‘Drop Dead’ on April 17

Who’s excited for Olivia Rodrigo’s music comeback?

On social media, the “Dejavu” singer announced new details on her return, beginning with a new single., saying “‘Drop Dead,’ the first single from my new album, is out April 17."

“Drop Dead” is among the songs included in Olivia’s 3rd album titled “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love," which will be released on June 12.

"You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love" arrives nearly three years after "Guts" (2023) and has prompted fans to see major differences from her previous releases. Olivia notably breaks her streak of four-letter album titles for one, and the album marks a visual departure from her past eras, "Sour" and "Guts." 

Earlier in the month, she shared the cover image for the new record, which prompted fans to look at Louis Partridge's old Instagram post. The two have reported broken up in December 2025.

Olivia visited the Philippines for her first concert in the country in 2024, where she proudly showcased her Filipino blood—thanking her kababayans, wearing a “Miss So Filipina” sash, writing “Pinoy Pride” on her statement tee, and more.

She told Jimmy Fallon the Filipinos in the crowd were "such good singers."
