Park Bom addresses her drug allegations vs. Sandara Park in now-deleted IG letter
Park Bom took to Instagram to write an open letter for her fellow 2NE1 members, where she also addressed her previous allegations of drug abuse against Sandara Park.
According to a report by Rolling Stone Philippines, Bom, in a now-deleted Instagram post, described Sandara as the “Princess of the Philippines,” whom she is a fan of.
“Sandara is the princess of the Philippines,” she said. “I was always a fan […] Along with me, the main vocal, we sing together and it creates a synergy because her voice is so beautiful,” she wrote.
The K-pop star also asked people to forget about the drug accusations she made towards Sandara.
“In truth, about the drug accusations I made before, I am hoping that you will all just ignore that it happened.”
In the same letter, Bom expressed her love and appreciation to 2NE1 members Minzy and CL as well.
In March, Bom claimed in an Instagram post that she was used to cover up a drug issue allegedly involving Sandara.
Through a handwritten note posted on social media, Bom said she was labeled a "drug addict" to turn the public attention away from her fellow 2NE1 member.
Shortly after, Sandara wrote a short statement in her Instagram story saying, “I have never used drugs. I wish her well.”
In 2014, Bom was caught in a scandal when it was revealed that in 2010, customs officers at Incheon International Airport found Adderall, a prescribed drug used to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), in a package sent to her by family members from the U.S.
Like in the Philippines, Adderall is illegal in South Korea as it is classified as an amphetamine.
Bom submitted medical records and prescriptions to prove that the medication was for treatment purposes and later received a suspension of indictment. —Jade Veronique Yap/JCB, GMA News
