Enhypen's Jay claps back at comments on Heeseung's exit
Jay of Enhypen has addressed comments surrounding Heeseung’s departure in a now-deleted Instagram Live broadcast.
On Monday (Philippine time), Jay went live to celebrate his birthday with fans, but he took notice of those repeatedly bringing up Heeseung’s exit from the group.
“What should I do? Some of you guys just like, you don’t care about what the situation is going on,” he said. “Some of you just keep saying 6, 7, 6 or 7, Enhypen is what?”
“I am okay, I actually don’t care,” he added. “Enhypen is Enhypen. Like I actually don’t care.”
The K-pop idol said he is fine addressing such comments but urged fans not to bring up the issue to other members, especially on their birthdays.
“I feel good with all my fans, today was such a happy birthday for me,” he said. “But I am really nervous that what if other members would feel like depressed in this situation, I really am scared for that.”
In March, Belift Lab announced Heeseung would be leaving the group. In another statement, they reaffirmed he is not returning.
Earlier in April, Enhypen has changed its social media photos to feature six members.
Meanwhile, Heeseung started his solo era with a new name, Evan.
The changes came at the heels of Enhypen's music comeback in January.
