Maki is one happy fanboy!
The OPM singer-songwriter’s song with American duo Joan, “Turning Green,” was played by Wendy of Red Velvet on her radio show, “Wendy’s Youngstreet.”
Wendy even mentioned Maki and Joan before playing the song.
On X, Maki expressed his excitement, writing in all caps, "what do you mean Wendy heard my voice and mentioned my name and my song and what ano daw."
“RED VELVET IS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY NUMBER 1 GIRL GROUP [WHAT] DO U MEAN THIS HAPPENED,” Maki added in a follow-up tweet.
“Turning Green” is included in Maki’s debut album, “Kolorcoaster.” Other songs include the hits “Dilaw,” “Namumula,” and “Kahel na Langit.”
Maki held his “Kolorcoaster” concerts at the Araneta Coliseum in November 2025 and last February.
He is set to bring the “Kolorcoaster” shows to Singapore and Indonesia in June.
