South Korean actor Lee Nam Hee has passed away at the age of 64.
South Korean newspaper The Chosun Daily reported that the veteran actor died on April 22 at 5 p.m. due to a long illness.
With a career spanning over 40 years, Lee started as a theater actor in 1983 in the stage play “Antigone,” and later starred in works such as “Male Impulse,” “Othello,” “Urfaust,” and “Death of a Salesman.”
He also appeared in several films and dramas such as “The Wailing,” “Six Flying Dragons,” and “In the Forest of No One.”
Among his recognitions were the Korea Theater Association Acting Award in 1998, the Korea Theater Awards Men’s Acting Award in 2011, and the Dong-A Theater Awards Acting Award in 2012. —Jade Veronique Yap/JCB, GMA News
