Ed Sheeran shocks with buzz cut as he marks fresh start: 'A lot of new beginnings in my life'

Ed Sheeran is embracing a new look for the new chapter in his life.

The British singer-songwriter recently debuted a buzz cut on Instagram, turning up without his iconic ginger curls.

“Yeah, I’ve shaved my hair,” he wrote. “A lot of new beginnings in my life atm.”

He added that he’s enjoying the new look and is considering keeping it for a while.

Apart from the hair transformation, Ed revealed that he recently recovered from shingles. He also shared snippets of his downtime, including bonding with DJ Martin Garrix, watching “Stranger Things,” and reading the novel “Demon Copperhead.”

Ed also expressed excitement about returning to the stage, with new dates added to the Latin American leg of his tour.

“So excited to come back and play for you there, some of my favorite countries and cities to play shows in, it's been too long,” he said.

Ed released his latest album, “Play,” in September 2025, which features tracks such as “Azizam” and “Sapphire.”

In 2024, he marked the 10th anniversary of his smash hit “Tenerife Sea” by performing it aboard a boat while cruising across the Tenerife Sea.
