Billie Eilish doubles down on anti-meat stance after backlash: 'Stay f-ing mad'

Billie Eilish is standing firm on her views about eating meat after her recent comments sparked heated debate online.

On Instagram Stories, the Grammy-winning singer shared graphic clips of animals, including pigs, being slaughtered, alongside a strongly worded message directed at critics.

“So stay f-ing mad at ME,” Billie said. “I really don’t give a goddamn f-ck.”

She urged followers to watch documentaries and footage showing how animals are treated in the meat industry.

“Go watch a documentary or two and some footage of what is done to the animals u claim to love and what it does to the planet u pretend to love as well. If that footage was hard for u to watch I encourage u to pls take a look at urself,” she said.

Billie also addressed the controversy surrounding empathy for animals.

“I am so tired of standing up for/having empathy for living beings being controversial. Pls continue to live in a constant state of cognitive dissonance and denial and try to convince urself that ur not living a lie. Mwah.”

The post came more than a week after Billie's interview with Elle.

During the interview, she shared her belief that eating meat contradicts claiming to love animals.

“Eating meat is inherently wrong. And then the other thing is two things cannot coincide. ‘I love animals. I love all animals so much’ and ‘I eat meat.’ You just, they're just, you can't do both. Sorry. You can eat meat. Go for it. You can love animals, but you can't do both,” Billie said.
