MrBeast becomes first YouTuber to reach 500M subscribers, receives unique Play Button

MrBeast has done it: he has reached 500 million subscribers on YouTube, becoming the first content creator to achieve the milestone.

On Instagram, MrBeast shared photos of himself showing off the newest YouTube Play Button to commemorate the milestone, making him the first person to own the unique hardware.

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, also posed in front of his Play Button wall, showcasing his subscriber growth on the video-sharing platform from 100,000 to 500 million subscribers.

“Had to update the play button wall,” he wrote.

In January 2025, MrBeast got engaged to his partner, Thea Booysen.

According to a report from People, the engaged couple plan on getting married on an island "where we're far away from just about everybody."

Aside from being a content creator, MrBeast has also ventured into the food business. In 2023, he brought his burger brand to the Philippines through a partnership with JustKitchen Philippines.
