Saint Satine's Lexie exits group ahead of official debut
Lexie has parted ways with HYBE and Geffen Records’ upcoming girl group Saint Satine ahead of its debut.
In a notice posted on Weverse, HYBE x Geffen said the decision was made after discussions with the artist.
“Following extensive and thoughtful discussions with Lexie regarding the group's future activities, both parties have mutually agreed to part ways,” the statement read.
“While Lexie will no longer continue as a member of SAINT SATINE or as part of HxG, we sincerely wish her all the best in her future endeavors,” it added.
“We kindly ask for your continued support for SAINT SATINE's upcoming activities, and HxG will continue to put our full support behind the group's path to debut.”
Lexie also addressed her departure in an Instagram Stories post, saying she initially believed Project Saint Satine "was the right place" for her.
“When I joined Project SAINT SATINE, I truly believed it was the right place for me. I was excited by the presented vision and future plans we were going to be working towards together,” she said, as she thanked HYBE x Geffen for the opportunities and lessons she gained during her time with the company.
“But now we have come to the mutual decision that this is the right time for us to move forward separately. While it feels heavy-hearted, I have found peace in that some things in life aren't destined. I have nothing but respect and appreciation for the team, but we have different ways of operating, and that's okay!” she said.
Lexie also encouraged fans to continue supporting Saint Satine and expressed her love for fellow members Emily, Samara, and Sakura.
She teased she is preparing for a new chapter in her career.
“Now I'm on my next adventure! My debut and future might look different than what you expected but stay tuned! I'm not done yet,” she said. “Thank you so much for your support, I love you!”
Saint Satine, formerly known as Prelude, is the second global girl group of HYBE and Geffen.
HYBE and Geffen Records formally inked a partnership in 2021 and produced their first global girl group, Katseye, in 2023.
