Kris Jenner mourns passing of mom Mary Jo Shannon

Kris Jenner is mourning the loss of her mother, Mary Jo "MJ" Shannon.

On Instagram, the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch shared the heartbreaking news alongside a photo of MJ, paying tribute to the woman she described as the heart of their family.

“Today, we said goodbye to my beautiful Mommy MJ,” Kris began, as she reflected on the lessons her mother taught her throughout her life, including loving family unconditionally, showing kindness, and cherishing every moment with loved ones.

“My mom was the heart of our family. She taught me everything that truly matters… to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted,” she said.

Kris also thanked her mother for her sacrifices, wisdom, and unwavering love, saying she would miss their daily conversations, smile, and laughter.

“Our hearts are broken, but we find comfort knowing that love like yours never truly leaves us. Your love will live on in our family, in our traditions, in every moment we are together, and in every life you touched.”

She added that she sees parts of her mother in her children and grandchildren, saying her life was shaped by MJ's love and guidance.

“My heart is broken into a million pieces… thank you for giving me the greatest childhood and oh what a beautiful blessed life… I love you forever Mommy. Thank you for giving us everything,” Kris said.

According to People, MJ passed away at the age of 91.

MJ frequently appeared on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” becoming a familiar face to fans through the 14 years it was on air.
