David Jonsson is the new Black Panther

Wakanda forever!

The new Black Panther has been named, and it's none other than David Jonsson.

Marvel Studios made the announcement at Comic-Con 2026, revealing the British actor as the new Black Panther, the son of T’Challa.

David is best known for his roles in "Industry," "Rye Lane," "Alien: Romulus," and "The Long Walk."

In 2024, Marvel Studios announced that " Black Panther 3 " was in the works.

Black Panther, played by the late Chadwick Boseman, was introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in "Captain America: Civil War" (2016). In 2018, "Black Panther" put Boseman in the spotlight as T'Challa.

The sequel, " Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ," was released in 2022. It paid tribute to Boseman, who died of colon cancer in 2020.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, "Black Panther 3" is set for a theatrical release in December 2028.
