Moon Geun Young announces marriage to longtime boyfriend Jung Pyeong
Moon Geun Young is now married!
According to a report by Soompi on Wednesday, the South Korean actress has tied the knot with longtime boyfriend and musical actor Jung Pyeong.
Confirming the news, Moon Geun Young's agency said the couple recently got married in a private ceremony.
"Moon Geun Young recently got married. She did not hold a wedding ceremony but instead held a quiet gathering with only family members for a meal," the agency said.
Following the reports, the actress personally shared the news with fans through a handwritten letter posted on Instagram.
"I'm getting married!" she wrote in Korean and translated by Soompi in English.
According to the actress, she found someone she wants to spend her life with and build a future together.
"I've met someone I want to walk the road I once walked alone with, someone I want to share the worries I once carried alone with, and someone to make each other smile over even the smallest things," she wrote.
"Instead of walking through life alone, the two of us will now build our future together."
Moon Geun Young also asked fans for their support and blessings as she begins a new chapter in her life.
"Rather than concern or worry, I sincerely ask for your congratulations and encouragement," she said. "As much as you cheer me on, I will work even harder to live a good life."
She also thanked fans for their years of love and promised to return with "an even better version" of herself.
Moon Geun Young made her acting debut as a child actress and rose to fame through hit dramas such as “Autumn in My Heart,” “Painter of the Wind,” “Cinderella's Sister,” and “The Goddess of Fire.”
