Stray Kids' Seungmin to skip a few promo activities for group's comeback

The Stray Kids' mini album "This & That" is due out today, August 7, but member Seungmin will be skipping a number of promo activities because of health concerns.

Soompi on Friday ran the statement of JYP Entertainment confirming Seungmin's absence in specific promotional engagements this weekend "due to his rehabilitation treatment."

The Korean member was "diagnosed with a suspected stress fracture in his left ankle," Soompi reported. The diagnosis was confirmed in May, when Seungmin had to sit out the group's Governor's Ball appearance in New York.

According to JYP Entertainment's statement, Seungmin will skip the Music Bank live broadcast and Stationhead listening party on Friday, August 7, as well as the live broadcast of Show! Music Core and another Stationed listening party on Saturday, August 8.

He will be able to participate in the pre-recording for Music Bank and Show! Music Core mini fan meet.

"While taking the artist’s strong desire into consideration, we have continued to adjust his participation in scheduled activities as much as possible. However, based on the medical specialists’ advice that rehabilitation treatment is essential for a speedy recovery, he will not be participating in the schedules listed above and will instead undergo treatment," the agency said.

"We kindly ask for your understanding and apologize to fans who have been looking forward to his appearance," JYP added.

"This & That" will drop at 1pm KST on Friday. — LA, GMA News
