Is Kit Connor playing Cyclops in upcoming X-Men movie?
Is Kit Connor joining the latest X-Men movie as Cyclops?
Yes, if Deadline's sources are to be believed.
In a report on Thursday, the entertainment outlet said Marvel Studios have landed on Connor to play Cyclops just last week, after director Jake Schreier and Marvel president Kevin Feige met with a number of candidates.
"The most active casting process has been who will play the new team of Mutants," Deadline wrote.
"Following meetings and auditions over the last couple months, sources say a small group of actors tested after the July 4 holiday," it added.
If things pan out accordingly, Connor will only be the third actor to don the Cyclops visor, following James Marden who played Cyclops in three X-Men films in the 2000s, and Tye Sheridan, who starred as Cyclops in a number of X-Men films in the last decade.
Alas, neither Marvel nor Connor's reps confirmed the news.
Connor is an up and coming actor, best known for his role in the recent Netflix series "Heartstopper." If he is confirmed to play Cyclops, we are sure to see more of the actor in seasons to come. — LA, GMA News
