Has the upcoming "Naruto" live-action movie by Destin Daniel Cretton found its Kakashi?
According to Variety, actor Charles Melton is reportedly in talks to star as the beloved mentor of Team 7.
Lionsgate has yet to respond to the reports.
Melton stars in Netflix's "Beef" and also previously starred in "May December" (2023).
Last month, director Cretton officially launched a global casting search for the main cast of "Naruto."
The film was first reported in 2024.
Kishimoto's "Naruto," which was serialized from 1999 to 2014, was adapted to anime in 2002.
The story centers on Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who has the spirit of a nine-tailed demon fox inside him, in his quest to become the leader of his village. —JCB, GMA News
