Gilas Pilipinas falls to Korea in tuneup ahead of Asian Games

Gilas Pilipinas fell to Korea, 81-55, in a tuneup game on Friday at the Suwon KT Sonicboom Arena in Korea.

Korea came out strong, taking a 24-18 lead after the opening quarter before extending its advantage to 45-33 at halftime.

The Koreans continued to pull away in the second half, limiting Gilas to just 11 points in each of the final two quarters while scoring 24 points in the fourth frame.

Justine Baltazar led the Philippines with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Adrian Nocum added 10 points.

Lee J.H. paced Korea with 27 points.

The Philippines will face Korea again in another tuneup game on Sunday.
