NCAA: EAC wallops winless San Sebastian by 32 for fourth win
Emilio Aguinaldo College made sure it would not become the first victim of winless San Sebastian College-Recoletos, cruising to a 96-64 victory in NCAA Season 102 on Tuesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.
The Generals managed to establish a 50-32 halftime lead and never looked back, improving to 4-6 in Group B while sending the lickless Stags to a 0-11 card and their 14th straight loss dating back to last season.
MJ Raymundo led the rout with 17 points, six rebounds, and three assists while Joseph Nunag and sophomore EJ Castillo chipped in 16 and 13 markers to help the Generals bounce back from a previous loss to a narrow 89-86 loss to San Beda University.
EAC also got other help with Jude Bagay dropping 10 points and six rebounds while Harvae Raymundo chimed in eight markers, six boards, and four dimes,
Young guns took charge early on with Castillo and rookie Kelly Coronel both erupting for eight points in the first half that saw them take a 16-point cushion.
Nunag, a transferee from Colegio de San Juan de Letran, then continued to prove his worth at EAC by leading their offense in the third period, which allowed the Generals to seize a 72-50 cushion.
EAC's huge lead allowed the rest of its bench to put the finishing kick as Noel Lanceta and Raymundo closed it out en route to their fourth win in 10 games.
