Petron-TNT Game 7 to be a close match, says Barako's Allado
In the semi-final series between the Petron Blaze Boosters and the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters, no game has been decided by more than four points, and Barako Bull Energy center Don Allado does not see that trend changing in the pivotal Game Seven between the two bitter rivals. "Both teams, they represent their corporations also, not just their respective teams," Allado said. "They have too much pride in themselves and the players are veterans on both sides. They don't want to look bad. They have too much pride. "Everybody wants to be in a Game Seven if you're a professional athlete. We all dream about that." Allado is high on the Boosters' veteran sixth man, Danny Ildefonso, and believes that he will be the one setting the tone for Petron. "Danny I has been doing a great job this whole series so far, despite being injured, having injuries here and there. He just comes up with ways to win games and make big shots, and that is a fantastic player to have." On the other side, Allado has big man Ali Peek as the Tropang Texters' X-factor, even describing him as a "game changer." "He [Peek] will bruise them [Petron] down low. They [Talk 'N Text] do a lot of high and low for Ali and the more that Petron sinks in on Ali, the more open their shooters are going to be. That's going to be key. Those guys can hit it. You have Jimmy on the outside, you got Larry Fonacier, you can't leave that guy open, even though he's an Atenean," said the former King Archer in half-jest.
