Long-time PBA governor JB Baylon resigned Friday as Coca-Cola Export Company's Director for Corporate Communications. As a result, Baylon will no longer represent Powerade, the Coca-Cola franchise's PBA team, in the PBA board. Before his resignation, Baylon was the PBA board’s vice chairman and will assume the chairmanship for the 2012-2013 season. Cat Avelino, Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc. Director for Corporate Communications, confirmed the news and added that Ronald Asuncion will be the Tigers' acting governor. The PBA board will hold a special meeting on Monday, February 20, to discuss the implication of Baylon’s resignation and the controversial trade that involves Powerade rookie Marcio Lassiter being shipped to Petron in exchange for Nonoy Baclao and Rey Guevarra. — JVP, GMA News
