Altamirano to hold summer basketball clinics
Multi-titled mentor Eric Altamirano will hold summer basketball clinics in various Metro Manila schools to teach the fundamentals of the sport. Dubbed Coach E's Summer FUN-damental Camp, the program will make sure that campers learn the basics of basketball the right way. The low coach-student ratio makes the whole camp experience personalized with more practice time for essential drills that can strengthen the campers' skills and at the same time learn the values of discipline, leadership, teamwork, perseverance and sportsmanship. Classes open on April 10 at Xavier School, San Beda College-Alabang, Ateneo, The Zone in Makati and Maria Montessori in Parañaque. The Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays classes will begin at Xavier School (Module 1, April 11 to 27; and Module 2, May 9 to 25); and San Beda College Alabang (Module 1, April 11 to 27; and Module 2, May 9 to 25). Classes in Ateneo will be held every Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2 to 4 p.m. (Module 1, April 11 to 28; and Module 2, May 9 to 26). The 10 to 12 noon Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays classes will be held at The Zone (Module 1, April 12 to 28; and Module 2, May 10 to 26) and Maria Montessori (Module 1, April 10 to 26; and Module 2, May 1 to 17). Altamirano's basketball academy, since opening in 2004, has already produced a number of players who are now seeing action in the country's premier collegiate tournaments.
