Café France rode on newly-acquired Josan Nimes' fourth-quarter heroics in trouncing newcomer Erase Plantcenta, 74-57, in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Nimes made nine of his 11 points in the fourth period to lead Café France’s offensive burst as the Bakers pulled away from a tight 48-45 contest after the third. Café France's 16-3 blitz early in the final period ended Erase Plantcenta’s hopes of scoring an upset.

Café France coach Egay Macaraya said that he will rely heavily on his young players to take over the reigns left by Jeff Viernes and Mac Montilla, who is now playing for Big Chill.

"They are a group of young players who are excited for the exposure in playing in the D-League. I really like the attitude of this team," said Macaraya.
Mark Guillen and Jens Knuttel led Café France's balanced scoring with 12 points each. Michael Parala had nine markers, six rebounds and three blocks while Mon Mabayo added seven points and 15 rebounds.
Jefferson Vidal led debuting Erase Plantcenta with 17 points. — JVP, GMA News
