PBA to feature 2 unique matchups in 2012 All-Star Weekend

Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) pbafans are in for a treat as the 2012 edition of the All-Star Weekend features two unique matchups.
 
The May 13 main game will pit the Veterans against a team made up of Rookies, Sophomores and Juniors (RSJ).
 
B-MEG's James Yap, Marc Pingris, and JC Intal will start for the Veterans and will be joined by Ginebra's Mark Caguioa and Petron's Arwind Santos.
 
Completing the Veterans' roster are Gary David of Powerade, LA Tenorio and Sonny Thoss of Alaska, Jimmy Alapag and Kelly Williams of Talk 'N Text and Gabe Norwood of Rain or Shine.
Powerade's Jvee Casio and Marcio Lassiter, Petron's Chris Lutz, B-MEG's Josh Urbiztondo and Ginbra's Dylan Ababou are the RSJ's starting unit.
Japeth Aguilar (Talk 'N Text), Paul Lee (Rain or Shine), Mark Barroca (B-MEG), Rico Maierhoffer (Ginebra), Mac Baracael (Alaska), Chris Ross (Meralco) and Rabeh al-Hussaini (Petron) complete the RSJ squad.  
The other game on May 11 will feature PBA "Greats" against PBA "Stalwarts".
 
Alvin Patrimonio, Ato Agustin, Jojo Lastimosa, Hector Calma and Olsen Racela will represent the "Greats" along with Willie Miller, Sol Mercado, Mike Cortez, Joseph Yeo, Danny Ildefonso, Rudy Hatfield and Danny Seigle.
 
The Stalwarts team, on the other hand, will have Allan Caidic, Ronnie Magsanoc, Pido Jarencio, Bong Ravena and Kenneth Duremdes. Completing their roster are Asi Taulava, Ranidel De Ocampo, PJ Simon, Jayjay Helterbrand, Mark Cardona, Cyrus Baguio and Sean Anthony. 
 
The 2012 All-Star weekend will be held from May 10 to 13 in Laoag, Ilocos Norte. — JVP, GMA News
