PBA: TNT outguns Governors Cup champs Petron to end slide

What a way for Talk 'N Text to clinch its first win in the season-ending PBA Governors Cup.
 
TNT import Paul Harris and Ranidel De Ocampo combined for almost half of the Tropang Texters' points in TNT's 102-87 triumph over defending champion Petron Blaze Boosters Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
 
Harris scored 27 points while De Ocampo tallied 23 on 4-of-4 shooting clip from beyond the arc as the reigning Philippine Cup titlists ended a two-game slide for a 1-2 mark.
 
Jared Dillinger added 15 markers, while Japeth Aguilar chipped in 10 more for the Tropang Texters.
 
Edward Basden and Chris Lutz scored 19 each for Petron while Alex Cabagnot and Arwind Santos contributed 15 and 12 points apiece.
 
Talk 'N Text led for most of the way, but had fought back in several occasions in the third period after Petron grabbed a 59-53 lead.
 
The Texters, highlighted by Aguilar's six straight points, dropped a 23-5 bomb to enter the final canto holding a 76-64 edge.
 
De Ocampo's five-point swing and Aguilar's back-to-back baskets pushed TNT's lead further in the fourth as the Texters, scoring in bunches that the Boosters failed to match, enjoyed a huge 25-point bubble. — JVP, GMA News
