NBA: Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra to fly into Manila for NBA Trophy Tour

Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra is returning to the Philippines, and he's bringing the Larry O'Brien championship trophy with him. The 41-year-old Filipino American through his mother's side will be making his third trip to the Philippines as part of the NBA Trophy Tour, and will be making stops at SM North Edsa and the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on August 4, NBA Philippines announced via press release. He will also conduct an NBA 3X Clinic (3-on-3 basketball) at the Jose Rizal University on August 2, the day he flies in. Also on tap is an interactive viewing party of one of the games in this season's NBA Finals at SM MOA Center Stage, where in Spoelstra will be dishing out live commentary. Spoelstra's Heat beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Finals series in five games. Said event has not yet been scheduled, but fans will be allowed to vote for either Game 3 or Game 4 of the Finals to be shown on the NBA Philippines Facebook page. Spoelstra is the first-ever head coach of Asian descent or heritage to have won an NBA title. He has an overall coaching record of 194 wins versus 118 losses including the post-season. -AMD, GMA News
