The hits just keep coming for Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. Dylan Ababou, a sophomore scoring machine on the team, confirmed on Twitter that he suffered an ACL-injury during Sunday night's 78-68 loss to the San Mig Coffee Mixers and would be out for six months. Ababou, who started, played just eight minutes before twisting his right knee while matched-up against San Mig's James Yap on offense. He finished with two points, a rebound and a turnover in his stint on the floor. This was just Ababou's second game in the 2012-13 Philippine Cup, having missed his squad's first five games due to a hamstring injury. In his first game back, he logged 30 minutes and dropped 14 points versus the Alaska Aces. After entering the season with considerable depth and optimism, especially following an offseason deal that saw them acquire point guard LA Tenorio, Ginebra now finds itself mired in a considerable slump, with multiple players sidelined with injuries. They've lost five straight now, after winning their first two assignments, and last night played minus the services of Jayjay Helterbrand, Kerby Raymundo, and Allein Maliksi, in addition to Ababou's early exit. - AMD, GMA News
