NBA: Duncan drops 30 as Spurs stave off Cavs
Tim Duncan scored 30 points with 12 rebounds, four assists and five blocked shots to lead the San Antonio Spurs past the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers, 119-113, Saturday (Sunday, PHL time).
Up by only four with 37 seconds remaining, Duncan hit two free throws to give San Antonio a six-point lead. Shaun Livingston countered with a jumper right after, but the Cavs resorted to fouling Manu Ginobilli, who hit both charities.
Duncan then blocked a lay-up by Dion Waiters, as Kawhi Leonard split from the line with 15 seconds remaining. A lay-up by Livingson cut the lead to four with 11 ticks to go via a drive, but a Leonard dunk sealed the deal for the home team.
Leonard had 24 points and 13 rebounds for the Spurs, while Ginobilli added 14 points and 10 assists.
Wayne Ellington led Cleveland with 21 points, while Livingston had 16. Waiters and Alonzo Gee had 15 each. - RAF/AMD, GMA News
