The Indiana Pacers and David West are finalizing a three-year, $36 million contract, bringing back an integral part of the team's cast that together came a game away from the NBA Finals.

West, 32-years-old, averaged 17.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists a game during the season.

Teams and players can't finalize deals until July 10 when the salary cap is finalized. The third year of his new deal is expected to be a player option, with West receiving $12 million a year, according to Yahoo! Sports.

West had inked a two-year, $20 million deal with Indiana before the 2011-12 season. - Reuters
